School Nursing
School nurses provide information and training on Health Education Mandates (example; Medication Training, immunizations etc.). They assist schools with the development of Medical Action Plans (e.g. Diabetes, Asthma, Epilepsy, Anaphylaxis) and Communicable Disease Planning (e.g. RSV, Flu, COVID-19, etc.)
In addition, school nurses help schools with Epinephrine Auto-injector and Naloxone orders/policies/training, as well as AHA CPR/AED/First Aid training.
